今日は本当になにもない１日でした。ほんとに書くことがありません。もうそろそろカナダの生活も終わろうとしていて、楽しい観光行事もなく、最後の テストに向けて緊張が高まってくるだけです。強いて言うなら、今日はアルバム製作の発表会がありました。このアルバムというのは、僕たちがカナダに着いた 初日に渡されたアルバムに、思い出の写真やパンフレットなどを張り、２〜３センテンスの英語で説明が書きを加えたもので、今日がその締切日だったわけで す。このアルバム製作にあたり、みんな写真の現像に苦労していたようです。現像に５日くらいかかったり、１日で現像できるけど値段が高かったり、すぐ現像 できて安いけどバスで移動しなければならないくらい遠くに店があるなど、どの現像方法も一長一短。さらに、最後の観光を残したまま現像しなければならない など、写真を撮りたいのに撮れないというような状況もあったため、このアルバム作りは意外にも骨の折れる作業になりました。もし来年カナダの海外研修を考 えている人は、そういった点も踏まえて、お金に余裕を持たせていくとかしたほうがいいと思います。また、食事代もバカにならないので、この点は本当に気を つけたほうがいいと思います。ハードな時期は、ほんとうに１食１０００円（１０カナダドル ）以上する食事が連続しました。そのほかにチップという制度もあるので、お金はいっぱい持っていっても差し支えありません。あと、トラベラーズチェックは ほとんど必要ありません。現金だけで余裕で生活できます。僕たちは、トラベラーズチェックが邪魔になったので、わざわざ銀行に行って現金に替えてもらった くらいです。さて、そんなことよりアルバムの発表会ですが、前に立って写真を見せながら、英語だけで５分以上の説明をしなければなりませんでした。しかし ほぼ１ヶ月もいると、５分くらい英語で話すのは別にどうってことがなくなっているので、みんな１０分とか１５分くらい説明していました。先生はほとんどア ルバムに目を通しませんでした。全体の成績のうちの１０パーセントを占めるのに、いったいどうやって採点しているのか不安になりますが、あまり凝らずに 作った人たちはそれで喜んでいました。続いて、午後は初めてのイベントがありました。イベントと言っても、エクステンションセンターに移動して、引率のラ イアンにアンケートを書かされただけですぐ終わりました。

意外にも英語ばっかりのアンケートというのはやりにくかった。
ほんとうに普通の日だった。日本にいるときの平日と同じぐらい普通だった。
