ITクラス
今日のITクラスはダイナミックHTMLというプログラムを習った。私は先週までのITクラスでとてもやる気を失うくらいわからなさに拍車がかって いた。他の人たちも随分てこずっていてイライラしていたようだ。なにしろ一文字でも間違っているとまったく作動してくれない。パソコンの授業が苦手な私に は、日本語で説明されても理解しにくいのに英語で言われても理解することが困難だった。しかも悲しいことに座る席によって今まで培ってきたファイルやデー タが一部消去されていたりと、困ることが多かったように思える。私は最終的にはなんとか課題をクリアすることができて安心したが、データを他のソフトに保 存しておくのは大切だと思った。
カンバセーションクラブ
今日のカンバセーションクラブはライアンの代わりにライリーという人と一緒にみんなでカフェに行った。ライリーはライアンの幼なじみで、27歳 191センチの細身の方だった。１年半日本でホームステイしていたことがあって、日本語も少し話せるので私は気楽に話すことができた。日本語と英語が混 ざっている状態で会話するのはすごくわかりやすかった。ライリーは日本での言葉の壁により仕事が見つかりにくかったこと、２歳くらいの子供たちに英語を教 えていたこと、北海道に住んでいた時の食べ物の話など、いろいろなことを教えてくれた。
ウエストエドモントンモール
カンバセーションクラブが終わると私は塚野さんとウエストエドモントンモールに出かけた。カナダ生活もあと約１週間というところまできてしまったの で、お土産の調達や、宿題のフォトダイアリーの締め切りが火曜日に迫っていることから、１時間で現像できる写真屋を求めて写真を現像しに行った。
ウエストエドモントンモールに着くと早速写真屋を探し、ジャパンカメラという店を発見した。ジャパンというくらいだから日本人が居ることを期待した が見事に日本人は居なく、アジア系の店員だったことに少しショックを受けつつ英語での説明に応じた。カナダにきてもう４週間が経とうとしているけれども、 やはり英語で説明するのは難しい。しかし、４週間も英語圏で生活していると、はじめは戸惑ってばかりいた私も英語に訳すことに違和感を感じなくなってき た。英語で話すことが自然に思えてくることは、ここで生活してホームステイしている成果だと思いたい。
IT class
Today's IT class learned a program called dynamic HTML. I lost the motivation very much by IT class last week. It seems that other men have trouble with fairly and were irritated. Anyway, if we have made a mistake in at least one character, it will not operate at all. It was difficult to understand, even if it says to what it is hard to understand even if the lesson of a personal computer is explained to me weak in Japanese in English. And a part of the file and data which have been cultivated until now were eliminated by the seat which sits on a sad thing. I can regard being troubled as many. Although I could clear the subject somehow and finally felt easy, I thought it important to save data in other software.
Conversation club
Today's conversation club was performed instead of Lyan all together together with those who is called Rylie at cafe. Riley was a friend from his childhood of Lyan and was the man of 27 years-old a 191cm thin figure. Since he might stay with the book half a day for one year and also spoke a little Japanese, I was able to talk in comfort. Having talked in the state where Japanese and English are mixed was very intelligible for me. Riley taught various things, such as a talk of the food when living in that it was hard to find work with the wall of the language in Japan, having taught about 2-year-old children English, and Hokkaido.
WEM
After the conversation club finished, I went to West Edmonton Mall with Tsukano. the Canada life after it is a week since we went to develop a photograph in quest of the photography studio which can be developed in 1 hour because of supply of a souvenir and the deadline of the photograph diary of homework.
When we arrived in West Edmonton Mall, we looked for the photography studio instantly, and we discovered a store called the Japan camera. It responded to explanation in English, Japanese people having not been and being splendidly, shocked for a while by that it was the salesclerk of the Asia system, although it expected that Japanese people were, since it was called Japan. Although it is noting that I will come to Canada and four more weeks will pass, it is difficult to explain in English too. If it is living in the English area as long as four weeks, it has stopped however, feeling sense of incongruity for I who was only puzzled in the beginning and was translating into English. I want to think it the result which lives here and stays that what it speaks about in English can be regarded as natural.
日本に比べてカナダでの写真の現像には苦労した。私はハブモールの中にある写真屋に現像しに行ったが、３日でできると言われて安心していたら実際の ところ１週間もかかり結局もう一回違う写真を現像するはめになった。しかも日本に比べて少し高いので、写真を現像するときはきちんと調べて時間に余裕を もったほうが良い。私的にはWEMが一番安くて早かったのでいいと思った。
ちょうどカナダの生活にも慣れてきた頃なので、少しホームシック気味になった。しかしあと約１週間なので残りの時間後悔しないように生活したい。帰る頃にはきっと帰りたくないと思うことだろう。
