Course Description
Although Anglo-American,
European and Russian
societies have often
been called “post-Christian
cultures”, the influence
of Judeo-Christian
thought continues to
have a great
influence on Western
literature, art, human
relations, social welfare,
ethics, politics and
business.
Japanese students
who take this
seminar will better
understand some of
the basic values
and motivations of
many Westerners, and
be able to
more deeply appreciate
aspects of Western
literature, art and
colloquial expressions in
conversation.
